How much is a chauffeur from Dubai to Hatta?
Fixed one-way fare from AED 550 in a Mercedes E-Class, AED 650 in an S-Class, and AED 750 in a V-Class for up to 7 passengers. Round-trip with waiting time at Hatta Dam or JA Hatta Fort from AED 1,200 (E-Class) for a full day of 8 hours. Salik, fuel and parking included.
How long is the drive to Hatta?
Dubai to Hatta is around 130 km and takes about 1h45m on the new E44 road. The route briefly transits Omani territory (Madhah enclave) — UAE passports and most GCC residents do not need to stop, but tourist visitors should carry their passport. We brief you before the trip.
What are popular Hatta stops?
Hatta Dam and the kayak point, Hatta Wadi Hub (zip-line, mountain biking, food trucks), JA Hatta Fort Hotel for lunch, the Hatta Heritage Village, and the viewpoint at Umbrellas Beach. A full-day chauffeur lets you string four or five stops together without driving the mountain road yourself.
Can the chauffeur wait while we kayak or hike?
Yes — every Hatta day-trip price includes waiting time. The chauffeur stays with the car at the activity centre, you go off and do the activity, and the V-Class or Escalade is back open with cold water when you finish. There is no per-hour wait charge inside the day rate.
Is the road safe in a sedan?
Yes. The E44 to Hatta is a paved, well-lit dual carriageway most of the way, with the mountain stretch handled in modern saloons every day. No need for a 4×4 unless you plan to leave the tarmac. For families and groups we recommend the V-Class or Cadillac Escalade for the extra cabin space on the 90-minute drive.
Do you cover overnight at JA Hatta Fort?
Yes. Overnight stays at JA Hatta Fort Hotel or the Hatta Dam glamping pods are quoted as a fixed two-day chauffeur package — typically AED 1,800 in an E-Class with the chauffeur driving you back to Dubai the following afternoon. Larger vehicles quoted on request.
What is the best time of year to do a Hatta day-trip?
October through April. The mountain temperature sits 4–8°C below Dubai, the dam is full from winter rains, and kayaking, hiking and the Wadi Hub activities are comfortable all day. May to September is workable for early-morning starts (06:30 pickup, back in Dubai by 13:00) before the afternoon heat — we adjust the itinerary at booking.
Can we combine Hatta with a desert safari or Al Ain on the same chauffeur day?
Hatta + Al Ain in one day is doable but tight (≈10 hours of driving + stops) and best in a V-Class or Escalade for comfort. Hatta + a desert experience on the return leg (Margham or the eastern dunes) is the more popular combo — sunrise at Hatta Dam, lunch at JA Hatta Fort, dune drive on the way back. Quoted as a 12-hour custom package.
Is the chauffeur allowed to cross into the Madhah Omani enclave?
Yes. Our chauffeurs and vehicles are insured for the short transit through the Madhah enclave on the E44 — no stamps, no border post, no paperwork for you. The road is paved and continuous. Passports stay in your bag; the only crossings that need real border processing are Hatta–Al Wajajah (full Oman) and Buraimi–Al Ain.
